Fiorla is an headless undead German Shepard paladin and it was fun coming up with a design that spoke to the character.

Sad Medussa
I wanted to do a modern Medussa. Most Medussa are done angry but I always thought they’d be lonely and sad. I want to do this in a bigger piece as soon as I free time. Looks around for free time. Sadly I don’t see anyone.

I enjoyed doing this badge because it allowed me to “browse” reference materials (look at video games).
On the subject of reference materials, Frequently I have my subjects stand in the pose they want on the badge. It helps me bring the person into the badge art and gives me a plausible human anatomy reference (avoid posing people like bad scifi).
If you’re ever interested in seeing some bad anatomy reference Jim Hines and Scalzi both attempted to pose like the covers from scifi books. It makes for great fun but I ramble. Enjoy.
